Competition Fees and Requirements:

1. NAIGC Membership fees: $25 per person. (NAIGC Membership Online)

Membership is required to compete in NAIGC sponsored meets (Nationals for 2009-2010 season) and to participate in other NAIGC activities (ie, clinics/camps). Membership is open to athletes, coaches and anyone wishing to support the NAIGC organization. The proceeds go to help fund and support the organization.
These fees are separate from Nationals meet fees.
All new members should register online, setting up a username and password of their choice.
Members from previous years do not need to make changes online, but still need to pay annual fees.
All members will receive a free NAIGC hooded sweatshirt as part of their membership with the organization.

2. Competition fees: $65 per individual and $100 per team, due March 1, 2010.

Each club must pay an individual fee for each individual competitor, as well as a team fee for each team that is entered into the team competiton. (If confused about team fees, click here for examples).
The individual competitor fee includes a t-shirt automatically.
Entering a group from you club into the team competition is not required, but it is necessary to be eligible for team finals, or to guarantee a spot in the individual event finals for one person on your team using the "mercy rule".
All competition fees are due March 1.
If you pay your club's individual fees by February 1, 2010, there will be an individual discount (decreases to $60 per individual).
If you pay after March 1, 2010, late fees apply. The individual fee rises to $85 and the team fee rises to $125.
If you do not pay by April 1, you are not guaranteed entry into the competition.

3. Banquet tickets: $25 per person, Due March 1, 2010.

Tickets can be purchased for athletes, coaches, parents, friends, etc. The award ceremony will be held at the banquet.

4. Signed Waivers: Due April 1. (Download Waiver)

A signed Nationals 2010 Waiver will be required from each individual competitor.

Registration Information:

Online Registration: (Nationals 2010 Online Registration)

All clubs must complete their registration for Nationals 2010 online.

To be eligible for online registration, you must first register for membership with the NAIGC online, and then request to be an authorized representative for your club. Furthermore, to complete your registration online, each of your club's individual competitors must be registered for membership with the NAIGC.

AFTER REGISTERING YOURSELF FOR MEMBERSHIP WITH THE NAIGC ONLINE, you may Request Authorization to register for Nationals 2010 by sending an email to Karen Heilman at heilmank@gmail.com, providing your name, the club to which you would like authorized access, and your status/position within the club. Once you are authorized to register online, you can access Nationals 2010 Online Registration by clicking the preceeding link, or you can select "Meet Registration" under the "My NAIGC" link to the left.

In order to complete your registration online, you must create at least one team, assign all your club's competitors to teams, and then specify which events each person will be competing. You will only be able to register individuals for Nationals 2010 if those individuals are already registered for NAIGC Membership Online. If necessary, authorized club representatives can register their teammates for membership, one at a time, by creating for each teammate a unique username and password, and logging out between creating each member. But you really should request that your club members do this themselves.

After completing your online registration, the only paper forms you need to mail are
1. The Signed Waivers for each competitor (pdf),
2. This Check Submission Form (pdf/doc), and
3. Your Payment

Payment Information:

You can pay your nationals fees online, or you can mail a check.

Please make all checks payable to "NAIGC".
Send all checks, forms, and waivers to the following address:

Beth Doughty
517 A Street
Davis, CA 95616

Hotel Information:

1001 McCarty Lane
San Marcos, TX 78666
Phone: (512) 392-6450
Fax: (512) 392-6451

The room block is under NAIGC gymnastics. The rate is $129 a night and it includes a full breakfast. The rooms can sleep 6 people per room if you use the pull-out sofa bed. When making your initial reservation, it may be easiest to reserve the room for 4 people. (The person you talk to may not be aware of the price arrangement we have negotiated with the manager that allows 6 per room for the same discounted rate). You can collect additional keys upon arrival. The deadline to get the NAIGC group rate is March 15, 2010. The code for registering online is "gym".

For questions about the hotel please contact:
Cindy La Rotta (rep for Texas State) or Jackie Olivia (event coordinator for hotel)

Note: the Embassy Suites has enough rooms for everyone to stay on Friday and Saturday nights. However, due to an additional group reserving the hotel for earlier in the week, and additional overbooking errors on the part of the hotel, rooms are no longer available at the Embassy Suites Wednesday and Thursday nights. If you cannnot get a room for Wednesday or Thursday at the Embassy Suites, you should plan to stay at one of our alternate hotels on those nights, and then transfer to the Embassy Suites for Friday and Saturday nights.

The backup hotels are listed below, along with rates for our group Wednesday and Thursday nights. To get the specified rate, tell them you are with the NAIGC gymnastics group.

SAN MARCOS, TX 78666 UNITED STATES

Transportation packages can be purchased between the 5 hotels listed above and the airports (both AUS and SAT) on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and between the hotels and the competition on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

If at all possible, teams should plan to stay at the primary host hotel -- the Embassy Suites in San Marcos -- on Friday and Saturday nights. We should have enough rooms at the host hotel for these weekend nights. It is more fun and less hassle if everyone is together for the banquet and various other activities over the weekend.

Transportation Information:

The NAIGC will be contracting with Solid Rock Charter to provide transportation, via charter buses and vans, for all event participants. Transportation provided will minimally include travel to and from the Austin Airport, travel between the host hotel and competition venue, and an optional trip to downtown Austin on your choice of Thursday or Friday evening.

The bus signup page is now available here. Please sign up and submit your schedules. You may use the sign-up form to pay online.

Bus Service Package Descriptions and Pricing

There are four bus packages available.

The All-Access bus pass costs $40 per person and it includes:
  • one bus ride each way between the airport and your hotel
  • unlimited rides between your hotel and the event venue at Texas State University
  • one roundtrip bus ride to downtown Austin on your choice of either Thursday or Friday night
The Airport&Local bus pass costs $30 per person and it includes:
  • one bus ride each way between the airport and your hotel
  • unlimited rides between your hotel and the event venue at Texas State University
The Local-Only bus pass costs $18 per person and it includes:
  • unlimited rides between your hotel and the event venue at Texas State University
The Austin-Only bus pass costs $15 per person and includes:
  • one roundtrip bus ride to downtown Austin on your choice of either Thursday or Friday night

Buses will service the Austin Airport (AUS) as well as the San Antonio Airport (SAT) on an (approximately) hourly basis.

Buses will service all 5 hotels listed on the Nationals 2010 information page
  • Embassy Suites
  • Holiday Inn Express
  • Country Inn and Suites
  • Comfort Suites
  • Hampton Inn
Buses are expected to arrive at selected locations regularly, at least twice each hour during slow times.
During busier times in the event schedule, buses will be more frequent,

Buses to downtown Austin (6th street) will depart on an hourly or bi-hourly basis starting at 7:30pm.
Departure times may be expanded or reduced depending on the number of requests.
You can return from Austin before the final pickup time by catching one of the drop-off buses.
Buses will pick everyone up from a designated area near downtown (location to be provided) at 2:30am.

The NAIGC encourages all competitiors and traveling team members to use the NAIGC-contracted charter service, and not to rent vehicles. Parking is restricted on the Texas State University campus, at some times it will not be available, and when available it incurs a fee. If you are driving to Austin, we will offer an option for you to use our local transportation service to get to TSU for a reduced price, and this will resolve your parking dilemna. Additionally, the more teams who sign up to use the buses, the less it will cost per person, and the more fun it will be.
